About me…

I am a long established enthusiast photographer living in North Yorkshire, where I specialise in landscape, outdoor and travel photography.

My interest in photography was sparked when I was a child by my Grandfather, who himself was a keen photographer.  Growing up in Cornwall, I was inspired by the amazing coastal scenery and took to photography from an early age as my main hobby.

Over the years I have evolved my camera system to reflect the advances in photographic and most recently digital photographic technology.  My most recent iteration was converting to the Sony Alpha system, using the Sony A7r3 mirrorless DSLR, with a selection of lenses.  I have to say that so far, I have been incredibly impressed with the image quality and flexibility this system provides.  I have also been a long-time user of the Lee 100mm filter system, where I use their ND graduated and ND filters to get the look I am after.

As well, as my Sony Alpha, I also use a GoPro Hero 9 action camera and a Leica D-Lux 5 compact camera.  Both of which have their uses and produce images of excellent quality.  My GoPro Hero 9 is often carried when I am out cycling around the amazing Yorkshire countryside and gives an interesting perspective when mounted under my handlebars.

Over the years I have had my work featured in a number of publications, both photographic and commercial and have also had some of my work exhibited at the Joe Cornish Gallery in Northallerton.  I have also been shortlisted in the past in the Landscape Photographer of the Year competition.

I hope you enjoy looking at my work…
